FLINDERSIA australis (Crow’s Ash, Australian Teak)

A large native tree (up to 12 metres), indigenous to NSW and Queensland. This species has a dense, shady canopy, bears clusters of perfumed, bird attracting white flowers in spring to late summer, followed by large attractive star shaped seed pods. Being a member of the citrus family, the flowers have a light citrus perfume. Popular as a street tree for its rounded growth habit and non invasive roots. It is noted for its adaptability to a wide range of environments and soil types.
