STENOCARPUS sinuatus (Firewheel Tree)

A large native rainforest tree (10-15 metres), originates in subtropical to tropical climates, but will also grow in temperate areas. Has wavy lobed leaves, and bears bird attracting, highly ornamental red-orange circular flowers in summer. Popular as a street tree for its rounded growth habit and non invasive roots. Will do best in rich loamy soil, but will grow in most soil types.
